Welcome to the Blog: A Space for ADHD Minds, Big Feelings, and Brain-Based Insight

Hi there—and welcome!
I’m so grateful you found your way here.

I’m Pam, a school psychologist in Southern California, a late-diagnosed ADHDer, and someone who’s deeply passionate about understanding how neurodivergent brains experience the world.

After a few years of supporting students and families in public schools—and navigating my own journey of self-discovery—I felt called to create a space that’s both informative and personal. A space where science and compassion meet. A space where kids, teens, parents, and educators can feel seen, supported, and empowered.

This blog is a place to explore:

  • How the brain works, especially for ADHD individuals
  • Emotional regulation and the role of co-regulation, nervous system health, and executive functioning
  • Tools for parents and educators who want to better support their children and students
  • Holistic practices like mindfulness, self-compassion, and gratitude, grounded in brain science
  • Personal reflections on living with ADHD as a helping professional (and human being!)
  • Creative connections between mental health, art, music, and healing
  • Evidence Based Practices

Whether you’re a parent navigating your child’s big emotions, a teacher trying to reach a student, a neurodivergent teen or adult learning to thrive—not just survive—this space is for you.

Here, you’ll find:

  • Blog posts that break down the science in simple, human terms
  • Personal stories, lessons learned, and aha moments from both sides of the psychologist’s desk
  • Free resources, journal prompts, and reflections
  • Soon to come in the future: Webinars and coaching to dive deeper and support you on your journey

This is just the beginning. I’m building something bigger than a blog—I’m building a supportive community grounded in empathy, science, and growth.

I’d love to hear from you in the comments, or connect on social media (links below coming soon!). Whether you’re here to learn, reflect, or feel a little less alone—welcome. You belong here.

With warmth,
Pam

About Me

Hi, I’m Pam—a school psychologist in Southern California with a passion for supporting neurodivergent minds. I’ve worked in public schools for the past four years, helping students and families navigate learning, emotions, and self-understanding. I was diagnosed with ADHD later in life, which deeply reshaped how I view my work, myself, and the unique ways our brains function. This space is where I bring together my experience, insight, and heart to support others who are wired differently. I’m so glad you’re here.
